On August 12, 2026, the Pearl of Africa Business Forum – Vietnam Chapter 2026 will take place at JW Marriott Hotel Hanoi, bringing together business communities, investors, and trade promotion organizations from Vietnam and Uganda.

The Pearl of Africa Business Forum – Vietnam Chapter 2026 will be held on August 12, 2026, at JW Marriott Hotel Hanoi, in coordination with the Uganda High Commission in Kuala Lumpur, Ugandan ministries and agencies responsible for investment, trade, and tourism promotion, as well as the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI).

Under the theme “Uganda: The Pearl of Africa – Your Gateway to Africa”, the forum forms part of Uganda’s Economic and Commercial Diplomacy agenda, with the aim of strengthening trade, investment, and business connections between Uganda and Vietnam.

The forum will also provide Vietnamese businesses with an opportunity to explore Uganda’s potential as a gateway to African markets and the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

Exploring Opportunities Across Key Sectors

Cooperation and investment opportunities in Uganda are expected to be presented across a wide range of sectors, including agro-processing, manufacturing, information technology, BPO, tourism, minerals and mining, oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, and renewable energy.

In addition to thematic discussions, the program will focus on business-to-business (B2B) and government-to-business (G2B) networking, country and sector presentations, investment and export exhibitions, and pre-arranged business meetings.

According to Industry and Trade Magazine, more than 300 delegates are expected to attend, including business leaders, Vietnamese investors, representatives of Uganda’s private sector, small and medium-sized enterprises, financial institutions, and development partners.

The forum comes at a time of positive momentum in bilateral trade. Total trade between Uganda and Vietnam reached approximately USD 22.1 million in 2024 and increased to around USD 95.47 million in 2025, creating a stronger foundation for further trade and investment promotion between the two markets.
