The opening ceremony of the Speak Up Competition 2020 final

The United Nations Agency for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) in Vietnam in collaboration with the International Training Institute and Banking Academy organized the first Speak-up Competition 2020. The competition is for students nationwide with the theme “Equal Generation: The Future I Want”.

Officially kicked off in February 2020, with the positive response from the youth community across the country with more than 500 contestants to compete, the Speak Up Competition 2020 is gradually coming to an end with the champion. Together with 75th anniversary of the United Nations, on the morning of July 18, 2020, at the Great Hall of Banking Academy, the opening ceremony took place.

The Speak Up Competition 2020 final  is held based on international competition standards with the judges highly experienced in gender equality. The competition consists of two main parts: Public Speaking and Debate. The contestants have prepared for the exam on many different aspects of the topic regarding to gender equality such as inequality in housework; inequality in employment opportunities; inequality in fairy tales, folk tales and in education; … Top 20 of the Speech competition include students from all over the country like Hanoi, Quang Nam, Binh Duong, Can Tho, Dong Nai, ..
