Workshop on summary the project of reducing the use of illegal wildlife in Vietnam
This morning, November 6, 2019, in Hanoi, Hoa Binh Group successfully organized the event “Workshop on summary the project of Reducing the use of illegal wildlife in Vietnam”.
This is a project implemented by CITES Management Authority of Vietnam (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development) in collaboration with Department of Political Education and Student Affairs (Ministry of Education and Training) with the support of International Organization Humane treatment with Animals (HSI) has been implemented in Vietnam since 2013.
The goal of the project is at least 4 million primary students will learn the conservation of endangered wildlife species in Vietnam such as rhinos, elephants, pangolin, tigers, hornbills and langurs in the present school year.
The project is divided into 2 phases, the first phase focuses on reducing the use of rhino horn. In Phase 2, the project focuses on instructing teachers to organize extracurricular activities and develop rare animal documents to stimulate the love for wildlife animals of elementary school students.
